Look at this amazing letter from a couple who survived Mt. Everest by munching on SUZANNE Chocolate Espresso Beans!

by Suzanne Somers 7/29/2010 2:26:00 PM

Dear Suzanne Somers,

My husband and I just got back from a mountain trek to the Nepalese side of Mount Everest's basecamp. The trek was 14 days long, very strenuous and while the food we ate was all organic, we found ourselves battling stomach bugs after a couple of days. This would zap our energy and make the day's trekking very difficult, and require many unhappy trips to really smelly squat toilets.

Before leaving on our trip, I had packed some emergency food just for this potential problem. As I filled up some ziplocks with Clif Bars and single-serve peanut butter, I found a bag of chocolate-covered espresso beans a friend of mine had given me for Christmas. I looked closely at the bag and saw that they were made by Suzanne Somers! I thought, "hey, this would be a great surprise if we need energy and caffeine and most importantly, a chocolate fix!" I secretly packed them in my bag.

So after a couple days on the trail and after a particularily bad evening spent nursing an upset stomach, I decided to break them out and share them with my husband the following morning. It was the only thing we could manage to eat at that time. Not only are the beans delicious, they woke us up and gave us crazy energy that kept us going up that mountain for hours!

There after, instead of drinking coffee in the morning, we just ate your beans. Sadly, we ran out before the end of the trek, but you can be sure that for future mountain climbs, we will always have plenty of SUZANNE Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans
 in our backpacks!

Your fan forever and fellow blonde bombshell...

Bette

Panel wants Avastin withdrawn for breast cancer

by Suzanne Somers 7/20/2010 1:57:00 PM

This article is finally saying what I have been saying for the last two years.  Avastin, the drug of choice for breast cancer, is ineffective in 92% of all women who used it.  8% of women who get breast cancer get an especially virulent type called Her 2 Nu.  The drug Herceptin has shown some results with Her 2 Nu.  Avastin also works "a little" for those same 8%, but not as well as Herceptin.  Therefore, Avastin is really totally ineffective,  yet they keep prescribing it even though it does NOTHING and has such devastating side effects.  Most of the women with the bald heads have gotten nothing out of their treatments, except misery.  So that means that Avastin is totally ineffective , but is as we speak, it's a $2 billion dollar per  year drug. Women lose their hair, their health, their bones turn to powder, they lose their soul, yet they still give it to them.  Follow the money.  Just terrible.

Stunning news report - Pfizer Gets Approval for Lipitor for Kids.

by Suzanne Somers 7/13/2010 4:16:00 PM

What!?!  Lipitor for kids?  See link below to read the full article.  I have written about the dangers of cholesterol lowering statins in my interview with Dr. Russell Blaylock (Breakthrough, Chapter 14), and wanted to get his opinion on this new development.  Here is the response he sent to me.

Dear Suzanne,

This is an attempt by the pharmaceutical companies to extend their profits. This is the most absurd and dangerous idea I could ever imagine. For one, it would lower cholesterol to dangerously low levels during a critical period of brain development. People's brains continue to develop until age 27. Cholesterol is essential for brain function (it makes up a critical part of neuron synapses called lipid rafts). Studies have shown that Lipitor, and the other statin drugs, can significantly interfere with this critical brain component. There are a great number of ways to reduce atherosclerosis that are much safer and cheaper than this dangerous drug. One should also consider that statins dramatically reduce immune function and lowering kids' immune function for a lifetime would greatly increase their risk of a number of infectious diseases as well as cancer.

Sincerely,

 Russell

I'd Kill for a Great Tan!

by Suzanne Somers 7/8/2010 11:23:00 AM

But should a great tan kill you?

Who doesn't feel great with a bit of a healthy glow? But what you don't know can kill you.  Literally.

As you've probably noticed, there's a lot of mixed messages out there about sun tanning, self-tanning, and tanning beds. The facts are clear.  There is no...I repeat NO...safe form of tanning when ultraviolet (UV) rays are involved.  That's because UV rays from the sun and tanning beds damage your skin, making you a lot more susceptible to squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, and the most dangerous forms of skin cancer...melanoma. And according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 65% to 90% of melanomas are caused by exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays. And what's even more shocking? Even though it's preventable, nearly 9,000 Americans die from melanomas each year. Who wants that?! I know I don't!  And neither does Congress.  As part of Health Reform Act, Congress introduced a 10% tax on indoor tanning to offset the costs associated with health risks of tanning beds and tanning salon services.  And did you know that both the American Medical Association (ADA) and the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) want to ban the non-medical use of tanning equipment? And don't get me started on how old-fashioned tanning is the best way to age your skin and look like a shriveled prune!  I could write a whole series of blogs on that.

So enough with the bad news.  The good news is that there's a better AND natural way to get that great summertime glow without compromising your health and beauty.  I’m launching SUZANNE ORGANICS Golden Tanning Serum in mid July as a way to get a completely chemical-free tan with a 100% natural product. Yes, I said "no chemicals"!  Our Tanning Serum incorporates nature’s most remarkable ingredients to activate a tan from the inside out! Just like all my new products, I’ve made sure they are made from organic and Certifed ToxicFree® ingredients to protect your health.

SUZANNE ORGANICS Golden Tanning Serum's Key Ingredients include:

Monk’s Pepper Berry - a natural tanning activator from French Polynesia, that stimulates melanin production with sunlight
Acetyl Tyrosine – this natural amino acid acts as a suntan booster by enhancing skin’s pigmentation
Sugar Peptides – supports a healthy bronze colored tan, with or without sunlight

And if you've used self-tanning products before and been disappointed by the results, join the club.  That's another reason why I created this product.  Those spray-on tans stink! This serum has a lovely natural scent from coconut and mango.  It's really easy to apply. It won't leave a streaky mess like many products out there.  Plus, it lasts 3 times as long as DHA-only products.  And worried about that fake orangy look?  SUZANNE ORGANICS Golden Tanning Serum works with your own pigmentaion to give you a natural glow. And it's loaded with nurturing botanicals like aloe, green tea, coconut oil, and argan oil for optimum hydration.  It’s actually good for your skin, and did I mention, "NO CHEMICALS"?!

I'm really proud of this product.  Finally, we have a gorgeous, safe, and natural alternative that will make us feel like a California girl all year round.

Sincerely,

Suzanne Somers
