AMEN....someone else is catching on to the HORMONE IMBALANCE issue of the US & WORLD!
I am 49 & have seizures that came on strong at puberty & "ovulation". I told over 200++ doctors of the "link" and was told I was nuts. "YOUR UTERUS & BRAIN ARE NOT CONNECTED" was the BS they gave me as a child. I became a full size woman (38c) when I was 9 years old! No one believed my age....no one! But they did not see a connection! I would have up to 18 days a month w/ seizure activity....esp. near "that time" or when stress was high (another hormone imbalance!)

I got mad & 2 yrs ago I began a NATURAL (man made DOES NOT WORK!) compounded progesterone cream (200 mc/mg @ 1cc on skin each night) & SEIZURES HAVE ALMOST GONE TO ZERO!!!! NEVER IN MY LIFE HAS IT BEEN THIS LOW!

BUT....

DOCTORS STILL WILL NOT LISTEN!!! Medicare will pay for drugs that DON’T WORK @ +$1,000/mo but they will not pay for a cream that DOES WORK that cost ~$50/mo!!!

YOUR TAXES PAY FOR THIS SCAM!

The Veterans Admin. has found using progesterone IV when a person has a head injury that DEATH LOWERS OVER 50%! LONG TERM BRAIN DAMAGE IS MUCH LOWER!
IT WORKS....
BUT YOU CANT GET THEM TO PAY FOR IT! (Your taxes for meds that make things worse vs. control/cure!)

I was in vet. school & witnessed the hormones they OVERDOSE your food with before slaughter. (FDA APPROVED....THEY GET $$$ OFF THE $$$ THE FARMERS GET FROM THE SALES...SO THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT HEALTH!)

Beef & pork etc get overwhelming amount of GROWTH hormones
***causes they body to STORE UP FAT!!! ==>>OBESITY ISSUE ANSWER!!!)
They get paid by WEIGHT & NOT QUALITY!

The chickens, turkeys, milk, eggs etc has SEX HORMONES pumped into them.
They get paid BY THE NUMBER....NOT WEIGHT/QUALITY.
==>>These encourage the animals to become HORNEY & CRAVE SEX CONSTANTLY. Like a dog in heat always in the street to men. Too much testosterone also causes INCREASED VIOLENCE ESP IN MEN....ANOTHER BIG ISSUE IN AMERICA THAT IS HORMONE LINKED!

==>testosterone, prostate, breast & ovarian cancers are increased w/ these imbalances. Male impotency is also a HORMONE CONNECTION! NOTING THE CONNECTION YET?
***RAPE, INCEST, PORN ETC ALL RELATED TO THE WAY THIS HORMONE TRIGGERS THE BRAIN!!!

The 2 BIGGEST DISEASES in America are OVERWEIGHT & SEX ADDICTION!
Guess what?
HORMONES CAUSE THESE REACTIONS & ARE IN EVERY BITE OF FOOD YOU EAT IN MASSIVE DOSES!!!
THEY CAN NOT BE COOKED OUT!!!

Epilepsy is over 2000 yrs old. Since the ~60's a NEW type of uncontrollable seizure began exploding. One that explodes at PUBERTY!! It cycles w/ ovulation!
==>The rise in this NEVER SEEN BEFORE TYPE was about the time the US FDA began allowing farmers to overdose their animals & soils w/ hormones to make them grow BIGGER, FATTER, MORE & MORE OFTEN. A cow that took 2 yrs to slaughter now takes ~8-12 months!! (Ps also the time period when the first generation of teens became sex-a-holics at ages of 12 or 13! AKA "HIPPIES"!)

==>The SAME TIME OBESITY & SEX OBSESSION & SEX CRIMES BEGAN ON THE SCENE!
VIOLENCE & MALE FIGHTING BEGAN EXPLODING YEARS LATER.

IT IS WELL DOCUMENTED & EASY TO PROVE. BUT DOCTORS WONT LISTEN.
Patents like myself can’t get the medications that work due to them being "natural" -NOT COVERED BY DISABILITY/MEDICARE (the pharmaceuticals make MEGA $$$$ off the gov & the gov makes MEGA $$$$ off them....so neither want "CURES"! NEITHER CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH EITHER!)
PS...OBAMACARE WILL NOT COVER THIS EITHER!!!

It is time to fight & tell the gov to GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY FOOD!
Time to stop the GREED & start looking back to health & happiness instead!

Anyone w/ seizure questions check out Natural Progestrone-Advisory-Network.com
Also look up under US gov site on progesterone testing w/ IED injuries....you will be impressed!

I am a 54 year old woman. About 8 years ago I was diagnosed with chronic depression, obesity, PTSD, and other illnesses. After seeing you on TV and reading your books, I went to my family practitioner and asked about Natural Hormone Therapy and asked him to test my hormone levels. He did a STD test instead and when I complained and asked why he did that test and not the tests I requested, he said he never heard of it.
I found a doctor approximately 3 years go who practices Holistic Health Care and immediately started receiving Oxygen Therapies, Nutritional Medicine (intravenous), Natural Homone Therapy, Detoxifications, etc. By the time I was 6 months into my treatments there was obvious changes in me physically, biologically, mentally and spiritually. Today I suffer from absolutely no illness or symptoms. My psychiatrist and family doctors have witnessed the changes and asked for her information. I share it with anyone who asks.
I want to thank you for eduacating the public with your experience, strength, & hope.
You were instrumental in changing my life for the better and my respect and graditude for your work is forever appreciated.
Thank you and God Bless!

Back in 2006 I had lost my father and shortly after I began to gain weight. Given I was grieving I attributed my weight gain to this. In retalliation to my weight gain I proceeded to start working out in order to get back into being my self again, to move forward in my life as my father would have wanted me to.
Shortly after I started to work out I would suddenly wake up in the middle of the night hot, sweaty I would have sworn someone turned up the thermostate in the middle of the night. Eventually I went to my Doctor, I told him I though I may be perimeonopausal. Given I was 37 at the time my doctor told me it was highly unlikely I was but he'd do the test any way. A week later I recieved a phone call from my Doctor and sure enough I was right. Perimenopausal at the age of 37 YIKES!

Then in 2008 I lost my mother. My whole life I had dedicated to looking after my parents. Working by their side literally till the day they passed away.

This past August, 2010 I married for the first time. I married my best friend but now, here I'am 41, perimenopausal with every symtom going along with it including my sex drive is non existant.

Today I went in to have blood samples taken to be tested. On January 4, 2011 I will meet for the first time the Doctor who is going to put my body back into balance.
I'm so excited, so hopeful. I can't wait to get back to me, the person I was 5-6 years ago. The woman I should be, want to be and the wife my new husband fell in love with.

Thank you Susanne Sommers, thank you for bringing forth Bioidenticals.
Thank you for letting me know that I can feel and be the woman I once was, rather then the tired, irritated, sluggish person I have been for the past 5 years.

God Bless.

Over 10 years ago I experienced surgically induced menopause. I had a full hysterectomy under the age of 40. I was miserable for weeks after returning from the hospital. I discovered Suzanne's book and found a way to improve my quality of life ten fold. I so far have been able to find doctors who will prescribe these hormones for me. One drawback is that I have yet to find a Doctor that will check and evaluate my hormone levels. The Pharmacists appear to be the only ones to do the testing, but I do not have a Doctor to interpret the results and adjust my hormones. What is seriously lacking is insurance coverage. I wish I had insurance that would cover regular testing. For now, I just have to trust that I will be ok. What I do know is that I am physically and mentally miserable without them. I appreciate Suzanne's ambition, confidence, and willingness to challenge the "big money" pharmaceuticals.

In May 2008 I was subjected to the removal of my last ovary, and everything else was removed 3 years prior. I cannot tell you the "instant insanity" that I experienced. I was put on Premarin and the dosages varied for about a year. I ended up in the ER once after about six months because I had too much in my system, got taken off the meds for 3 months, ended up with 8 breast cysts (lucky they were not cancerous). After my struggle, and multiple doctors, I stumbled upon a doctor that knew more than me (I had read all of your books at least 3 times and still go back to them). She was so wonderful and helped me through the process, tweaking my meds every 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately she is 3 hours from my home, so I found another local doctor that knew just as much and she has now taken over. The missing component in my BHRT regimen is Progesterone. I am extremely sensitive, so I only have to take it twice a week, but it makes a huge difference in my sleeping, and keeps my blood sugars level. Prior, I experienced spiking and dropping of BS levels that created really bad mood levels. I am not 100% yet, but the "synthetics" really did a job on my body. I suggest to everyone I know to get off of them. I can see the danger in them, I have been there, done that. I felt the differences in them, and can honestly tell you that I feel more like myself now rather than a "sugar spiked robot that could not sit still nor sleep well" on the synthetics. I am turning 45, have an ideal body weight, but need to tone, so the work out regimen is starting. Your books and your research have helped me so much, I cannot thank you enough for doing this. I was first introduced to your books when your appeared on Oprah, and bought every single one of them immediately. So from the bottom of my healthy heart, thank you Suzanne! BHRT is by far the best thing that has happened to me since my surgery. Throughout this process, I lost my job from being ill, was put into foreclosure, and lucky saved my home, but I am forging forward, knowing that I will get another job and I will recover from this. And, I will preach BHRT to everyone I know.

Suzanne, I have read three of your books, "The Sexy Years", "Ageless", and "Knockout". So much in them just makes common sense yet the FDA and Pharmaceutical Industry still knock any alternative solutions when it comes to woman's heatlh and cancer. Very sad. I admire your stead fast work to get the word out.

My personal story can not say that I have been able to apply your great advice but is only for financial reasons and I will continue to work on that by trying to network my way into a program some how. I was a single mother raising to beautiful children. Many struggles along the way but no regrets cause every choice I made I made for my children and so at peace with that. But in the struggles I had in raising them the worst of them was the tragic death of my son when 6 weeks of turning 21 years old he was killed in a single car accident that also took the life of the driver of the car. The boys in the back seat survived. Point I want to make is with all the struggles I am surprised my adrenal glands did not exploid. Back in 2004 after reading "The Sexy Years" I wanted to get on bioidentical hormones but could not afford that luxury. I think had I been able to that the cancer I have dealt with since May 2009 may not have happened or been as bad as it was. Although miracles happened through that and I think my eating habits and juicing and excercising helped there too. It ended up cancer in the lining of my uterus that went through my fallopion tube to left ovary so ended up stage 3 uterine cancer. Huge fibroids incased the tumor on left ovary that was my own body protecting it from spreading. Had the abdomen washed down and tissue samples taken and fluid tested clean. I am self-employed and no health insurance so went through the Charity Hospital here in my home town but got the cream of the crop doctors that aside from their private practice are on staff there. They are conventional doctors and protical was 6 rounds of carpoplaten and toxil chemo. It is truly poison and could tell it was destroying healthy cells in my body. I continued juicing and exercising and working through the entire thing. My work is not sitting at a desk either it is a cleaning business that I have done as a single mom for over 15 years so is very physical. Had I been able to take the bioidentical hormones I know that would have helped so it is frustrating to degree. But the imformation you give out for those that can pursue it is awesome!

I still want to some how find a way to pursue an endocrinologist and bioidentical hormones. My oncologist is conventional but he was willing to work with me on it if I could find an avenue. Unfortionately he has left my home town and returned to the hospital where he did his internship so will be starting with his partner here this next month. I am at the phase now where I go every three months for two years. I go in for blood work up for a P.E.T. scan this next week and then see him for the first time the next week. Again for financial reasons I have to follow the protical cause can not afford to go the alternative route and with cancer one can not do anything, some form of defense must be taken.

I will keep you in my prayers for your outreach to so many with alternative choices and acknowledging so many that there are options if can afford to take them. And congratulations on being cancer free now for over 10 years.

Sincerely a sister in cancer, Deborah Hughes

Suzanne, First I want to say congratulations on your success! I really appreciate the research you do in order to help men and women of all ages improve their health while losin weight. I have lost 10 lbs so far and I have been on your diet for only a month! I read "Fast & Easy" and it is truly a fabulous and informative book; however, I just found out I had Ulcers and there is no information about being on this diet while having Ulcers. My doctor recommended I stay away from fatty foods and this diet consist of a lot of fatty foods. I would love to continue your diet. Please give me some advise of the health risk I could/or may not encounter while on your diet.

Suzanne, I want to thank you for educating American women about the benefits of
bio identical harmones. I am 58 years old. I have been telling the doctors where I learned about the new choice we have. They do not want to give you credit. When over half of my pretty hair fell out due to
physical pain and stress, I knew harmones might help me. My hair is coming back, and there are great things happening that I did not even know was a hormone problem.
There is a "waffer" I take every evening. It has worked better than Xanax to
calm me down. I thought my stress was due to a bad marriage. I never expected to calm down without leaving my house. My marriage is no better, but I can think clearly about what to do, rather than go balistic every day.
I owe you my life, Suzanne.
Ladies, take the harmones before you fall apart like I did.

Just wanted to send a big thank you as I'm reading through the "Knockout" book. I had breast cancer at 39, and am now having an LAVH/BSO due to a family history of ovarian cancer and bleeding issues, as well as finding out my hormone levels are absolutely dust! I have a wonderful oncology surgeon and an equally wonderful former colleage of Dr. Wright's as my natural hormone and health support provider - Dr. Buscher. As I am reviewing your book, I'm seeing confirmation after confirmation of the care and advice I am getting from Dr. Buscher, from vitamin D, to DIM, to Chrysin supplement support, and all natural bioidentical HRT from the day of my surgery on. I just wanted to say thank you for a great book that is confirming the healing process I'm securing for myself. Between you and the Lance Armstrong Foundation, I found the courage to dismiss the gynecologist I had and find the oncology gynecologist expert who both listened to and valued my choices. Blessings to you.

I originally found Dr. Allen through the Suzanne Somers book “Breakthrough”. What a Breakthrough it was for me to find her. I started looking over my history from when I first came in to see Dr. Allen and it brought tears to my eyes. She has given me my life and youth back. I first went to see Dr. Allen because I felt tired, sexless, sad,
sleepless, pms, emotional, bloated, and had hot flashes feeling maybe the best part of my life was over. I’m 43 years old loved my life, kids and husband but couldn’t figure out why I was so unhappy and tired. Other Doctors just threw prescription anti-depressants at me but Dr. Allen cared. We started me out by doing blood work and a saliva test. The results showed so much; I had no Vit D, low estrogen, very low progesterone and burned out adrenals. We started me out on a bio-identical hormone therapy treatment, a cream I apply everyday, adrenal support, vit d herbs and other vitamins. It took a few months to get the formula right, but we got it perfect. I feel amazing, like I’m 20years old again!!! I’m not bloated. I’m even tempered all month; I don’t even know when my menstrual cycle is coming. I sleep great; have tons of energy, feel beautiful, no more night sweats or breast tenderness. I love making love to my husband. I feel like my life has just begun. I go every few months and it’s great! I highly recommend Dr. Allen (she is in Tampa, Florida) to anyone who wants to live there best life ever.

Sincerely
Lori

PS: i forgot to add: another thing which really helped me was BALANCE WATER. It's spring water infused with hand-picked australian bushflower essence. They have a few different one, but the 'Women' one is fantastic for PMS. the relax one is great to help you sleep. It's not expensive, has no flavor and I love it. You should give it a try

I am 44, have 2 kids (age 5 and 7) and have been feeling exhausted for the past 4 years or so. Last fall, after reading your book about hormones everything seemed so logical, and I decided to change doctor. I now have a wonderful one who checked on my hormones as well as thyroid, and it so happens that I have hypothyroidism and my testosterone and DHEA were way too low. I am now on bioidentical hormones and have a new life- I feel great! PS: Guess which book my doctor recommended me? Breakthrough (I had already read it. She recommends it to all her patients). Thank you for opening my eyes. I am telling all my friends about your books

Today is July 14, 2010. Last Thursday I was given the news of rectal cancer. The name of the cancer itself is adenocarcinoma. I've undergone chest x-rays, blood samples, CT scan of my whole abdomen region, and MRI of my pelvic, pancreas, adrenal glands, liver and kidneys. I'm suppose to have something done this coming Monday but I don't remember what it is. I know they want to see how much its spread, if at all. And how deep into the intestinal wall it is. It took me over 50 years to break away from my abusive family, and now this. I'm tired and exhausted. I think I'm just looking for some advice or opinions.

I have read your books over and over and began seeing one of the doctors in your books 3 years ago. It has helped me so much.

I am now trying to help a young woman of 38 who was diagnosed with breast cancer and they removed them completely, then did a hysterectomy and she has felt miserable ever since. The chemotherapy was hideous and deprived her body and her spirit of all energy. Now she has terrible stomach issues and lives in a state of fatigue and pain. She believes she only has a few more months to live. I need your help in choosing a doctor that specializes in cases like hers. She is in Honolulu and I am ready and economically able to take her to any doctor on the West Coast. Thank you for all that you do.

In about 2006, I saw Suzanne on t.v. talking about her book, "The Sexy Years". It sounded so logical to me, yet I had never heard anything about it. I purchased and read it and was blown away! The next year, I read "Ageless". Wow is all I can say. However I wanted to make sure and and asked my Dr. what he thought. Of course, he said he thought it was "quack" medicine, but one of the Dr.'s listed on Suzanne's list was a respected friend of his and he suggested that if I wanted to try it, to go to her. So I did! I never looked back. A few months later I was back to see that Dr. again about 20 pounds thinner and feeling better than ever! I tell everyone I meet to read "Breakthrough" and that I do what Suzanne does! I tell folks that they do not remember how they used to feel when they were in their 20's, but I do!!!! When I get a chance, I tell everyone that they must read these books and do it!!!!

As one of the lucky few to read KNOCKOUT first, I want to say how proud I am of my mother-in-law for this profoundly important piece of work. As Suzanne mentions in the book, I lost my mother to breast cancer, my step-mother to ovarian cancer, and my aunt to ovarian cancer. Three mother figures all wiped out by this insidious killer. When Suzanne found out she had cancer 9 years ago, I just didn't know how I would get through it again. THIS BOOK OFFERS HOPE. Suzanne has access to professionals around the world who are not able to get their voices heard. She has interviewed doctors having INCREDIBLE results with alternative methods - even with Stage IV cancers. I sobbed from a deep place - wondering if there could have been a different outcome for my loved ones... and hopeful that I and my young girls will have a different story knowing there are people out there trying something different and having positive results. Suzanne offers something for EVERYONE in this resource - wherever you land on the spectrum, from totally natural/alternative to straight up chemo and radiation, to integrative methods that combine both - she guides you to professionals who offer your best chances for success. Today I am not writing as a member of Suzanne's business, nor as a member of her family. I am writing this testimonial as a human who has been devastated by cancer and who has found HOPE in this book. Thank you, Suzanne - I love you and have never been more proud of you. Caroline

I wanted to thank you for your research into BHRT,and your TV appearances discussing the topic. I am 47 years old, and was having hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, weight gain, etc. Because of you, I made an appointment with the wonderful Dr.Randy Birken, got blood tests, and now am on a regimen of BHRT. I have my blood tested this week, as I have been on the regimen for only three weeks, so expect some tweaking. I am already feeling so much better, sleeping better, no hot flashes. I look forward to enjoying this time of my life as the best. I have also ordered your Somersize books, as I now believe I might be able to finally lose some weight with balanced hormones.

    Dear Suzanne

I will start by telling you I don't take the time to write fan mail. I feel
my time is too valuable and I find all the media hype of chasing down and hunting celebrities very silly.

I do however like to stay informed and read a great deal. I have been a
long time fan of yours, but not the scary type of fan. Read most of your
books, had not read ageless but owned it at the time I saw you on Oprah.

I am taking the time to write to you because of your show on Oprah last
January or February, I knew in an instant what my problem was. I saw the
interview with the lady from Ontario, - I had all the same symptoms. I had
been going to my GP for two years who could not find anything wrong with me
and told me I was getting old and needed to retire.

I am 58, had a full hysterectomy when I was 46. But had gone into early
menopause starting at age 35. I work full time, typically I am a high
energy person, my career is sales, and have two wonderful grown children. I
had for the most part a full, happy and busy life.

I found my life spiralling down a deep dark hole, I had no energy, I was
terribly tired all the time. I had a very difficult time thinking and
remembering. Not good when you need to meet potential clients sell yourself
and your company. Getting on a plane every two weeks, was very difficult. I
gave up exercise all together and went to bed every day at 4:00 p.m. I just
could not go any longer in the day. I kept thinking I was dying and they
just could not find the cancer.

After seeing your program I was determined to find someone in Vancouver
Canada where I live, who could help me. Started with my GP, no she could
only refer me to a gynaecologist who would prescribe estrogen tablets no
other hormone. Searching the internet found a Naturopath and the long story
short is 8 months into treatment and I feel amazing and yet have a little
way to go. My treatment started with the vitamin IV's, getting the mercury
4 only fillings out of my mouth, chelation, hormone treatment, detox pills
and lots of other pills, etc. I am so grateful to have my life back.

I wanted to share my story with you, your work and books are wonderful and
greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Gail Haws

    Using Celebrity for Good

At the most recent meeting of the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM) in Las Vegas, I had the pleasure of meeting Suzanne Somers. ACAM was honoring Suzanne for her support of complementary and alternative medicine. This approach, practiced by myself and other physicians who are members of ACAM, includes the use of bioidentical hormones, vitamins and minerals, lifestyle changes, and other safe, natural therapies for achieving optimal health.

What I really admire about Suzanne is that she uses her celebrity status for good. She’s a strong, vocal, and responsible advocate of complementary medicine and a well-informed critic of the overuse of pharmaceuticals. ACAM pays her no fees, nor does she receive royalties from any pharmaceutical company. She’s simply committed to spreading the word about alternative treatments in order to help people and make a difference in their lives.

Can we say the same thing about other celebrities who are mouthpieces for Big Pharma? Does Sally Field appear in Boniva ads because she truly has a passion for this drug? How much did Dorothy Hammill rake in for hawking Vioxx? What did Pfizer pay Bob Dole and Raphael Palmeiro for their endorsements of Viagra?

A Courageous Advocate
Suzanne spreads the word through her appearances and her many books—and does she ever sell a lot of books! Her latest, the bestselling Breakthrough: Eight Steps to Wellness, is an excellent resource on natural approaches to wellness.

A major thrust of the book is a subject near and dear to Suzanne’s heart and to mine: bioidentical hormone replacement. At Whitaker Wellness, we’ve long eschewed dangerous, side effect-riddled horse hormones and synthetic chemicals in favor of hormones that are identical to those produced by the human body. Suzanne does an admirable job explaining the difference between the two and making a case for hormone replacement.

Breakthrough also includes interviews with a number of physicians, most of whom I know and can heartily vouch for. It also contains a list of alternative healthcare practitioners. Interestingly, half a dozen of them got their start in complementary medicine working at Whitaker Wellness!

Those of us who practice complementary medicine appreciate not only the support given to us by Suzanne, but the courage, sincerity, and honesty with which she offers it. She knows she is going out on a limb as an advocate of bioidentical hormones and unconventional therapies medicine, and she’s been harshly criticized by some in the mainstream media and by many conventional physicians. This doesn’t sway her, because she is simply telling the truth as she sees it.

The event also marked Suzanne’s 60th birthday. This vibrant, attractive woman obviously practices what she preaches—she’s the picture of health—and, boy, does she brighten up a room.

Recommendation:
• Suzanne Somers' books are available in bookstores and at amazon.com. I highly recommend them. Following the eight steps in Breakthrough will lead you to a healthier, happier life.

Dear Ms. Somers,

“Hormonally challenged” is how I define myself to friends and family. After 3 ½ years of increasingly debilitating symptoms, frustrating and heartbreaking visits on the ‘medical merry-go-round’ in search of a doctor to listen & provide an accurate diagnosis, and living with the mental, emotional, and physical affects that accompany my illness has led me to reach out to you.

Previously, I worked 50-60 hour weeks as primary teacher, attended graduate school, ran and lifted weights for an hour each day, cooked, cleaned… basically I was the girl who everyone asked if I “ever sat down”! I had endless energy, ate healthy, had a zest for life, and felt fabulous!

Suddenly, I started to pack on weight. I started to feel sluggish, exhausted. I picked up my workouts thinking I had been slacking, but to no avail. One day my hair started coming out in clumps, my fingernails breaking, I lost my ability to remember, I had endless aches & pains. My symptoms continued to increase and escalate.

After about a year, I was finally diagnosed with hypothyroidism and, when complained about my weight and energy, was offered diet pills and anti-depressants. I knew that I didn’t need them. Knowing there was more wrong with me, I hopped from doctor after doctor without any resolution.
Finally, a co-worked told me of a doctor she saw and was getting help for her multiple ailments. After about 6 months of having her “harass me” I caved and made an appointment, thinking I was going to get the same routine as the others had given me. By this time, I could barely walk in the mornings and had to crawl down the stairs. I hadn’t slept well in years, spent hours “waking up”, and couldn’t remember how to get to the grocery store. I figured I could try another doctor! To my surprise, she did a massive round of testing and I was diagnosed with 10 hormone abnormalities/deficiencies, vitamin & nutrient deficiencies, Leaky Gut Syndrome, Sleep Apnea, metals, and toxic Systemic Yeast! Wow, that sure beats Hypothyroidism and crazy!

By this time, my body had crashed leaving me without any resources for my daily life. I was barely functioning and struggling to care for my young daughter every day. I couldn’t work and it was draining us financially. At this point we were barely scraping by. My husband started working 2 full time jobs for us to make ends meet and he continues to work those hours; sacrificing for his family because I am ill.

I am currently on a regime to help build my body to a healthy point. No one understands my illness, my feelings, frustration, loneliness, withdrawal, changes…. I have lost friends; most have given up on my and at times, I believe they think I’m a hypochondriac.

My greatest hope is to bring awareness to the fact that hormone deficiencies and abnormalities are ever present, medically challenging, and life-altering to those who suffer.

I commend you for what you have brought to the fore-front for all women. I adamantly believe that there are millions of women suffering from multiple ailments who are not getting heard by their physicians. Left untreated, I would have ended up in the hospital from sheer exhaustion and physical collapse. Discovering my physician, Dr. Lena Edwards (who directed me to your books), and you have provided me with insight, assurance, resolution, and hope. I am thrilled to have a connection with someone, albeit through text, but it helps me realize that I am not alone in my suffering. I’ve felt alone for so long and I still struggle every day with loneliness and isolation.

I am still unable to work, we are close to losing our home because I cannot work, and we barely make ends meet. Our cars are old & in need of repair that we cannot afford. I hate that an illness has caused this type of destruction. I have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Reading. I am capable of a career, a good income. I know that had I been informed prior to the arrival of my symptoms, our situation wouldn’t have escalated this far. I spent almost 3 years thinking that I was losing my mind, that I had somehow allowed myself to lose control. The mental aspects are horrendous and no one can relate to them unless they’ve experienced them as you have.

Thank you for touching my life, giving me hope, and helping me understand my body and mind. I know that one day I will persevere. It’s just a matter of time.

I look forward to reading all of your work!

Sincerely,

Dee T.

I just finished your book "Ageless". It makes sooo much sense!

I also had breast cancer in 1996, & it has changed my life as far as eating right, etc. The more I can do to stay healthy, the more I like to do it, if at all possible. I'm sure Insurance won't cover this, but hopefully, it will be cost efficient. I have exercised for years, but have never done yoga. Guess I will give that a try, too. I am 63 years old as of the 16th of this month, so I want to do everything I can to live as long & a good quality of life as I can.

Anyway, good luck to you; you have always been one of my favorites. Loved the show, Three’s Company!!!

Hi Suzanne,

I am a 69 year old Nutritional Consultant and affiliate of Genewize Life Sciences. I am working my way to being optimally healthy and am almost there but I am always looking for new and better ways to achieve that goal. I read Breakthrough with an open mind and it absolutely opened up a whole new world for me. No one ever explained the importance of hormonal balancing like you and your top notch doctors. I am recommending your book to every health conscious person I know.

Please tell Suzanne, thank you so much for her book,”Breakthrough" she describes me to the tee in her letters. I now have taken the time to get many tests done and have an appointment booked with Body Logic in December. Looking forward for someone to take me seriously this time since my primary doctor didn't.

Tell her I honor and respect her so much. Thank you with all my heart! God Bless.

Dear Suzanne,

Thanks so much for speaking out for women in the area of Bioidentical Natural Hormone Therapy.

I have dealt with depression on and off since I was 19 years old. I am now 48.

Two years ago I found a doctor in Dallas, Texas that believes in NHRT. He also believes that Alzheimer’s is caused by lack of Estrogen in the brain. My primary care physician and gynecologist all said that my hormone levels were within normal range. I had been having anxiety attacks and mood swings that were getting much worse. I had a wonderful family, good job and a supportive husband and no situational reason to feel this way. I really thought I was a malcontent and a little crazy. My husband encouraged me to see someone else. The physician in Dallas took one look at my blood work and hormone levels and said I had absolutely no progesterone and my estrogen levels were that of an 80 year old woman. The other doctors wanted to give me Xanax.

I now use progesterone and have not had an anxiety attack since. I also take Biest as I had a bilateral oophorectomy a year ago. I had no choice at the time because I was in severe pain due to scarring and ovarian cysts. My gynecologist thought the Biest and progesterone had caused the cysts. Immediately after the surgery the gynecologist put a vivele dot patch on me. Within a week my whole body ached; especially my legs. (He
was so against the biodentical and I started thinking that I maybe I better listen to him because he said they caused the ovarian cysts. I also had heard all of the bad press about the bioidentical). I immediately returned to the physician in Dallas and got started on the biodentical again. I don't even mention the bioidentical to my other
physicians because they won't hear of it. Within a week I felt like my old self again.

If these hormones were not available I could not imagine living another 40 years in this body. I regret that I have to drive to Dallas to see a physician that will prescribe them and that I get chastised for taking them by my gynecologist and primary care physician. (Dallas is about and hour 1/2 drive for me). I believe that I should feel good and if the synthetic hormones make me feel bad then there must be something in them
that is not good for me. I don't understand why the medical community is so closed minded. They won't even listen. Oh yes...it is the pharmaceutical drug company syndrome....I forgot :)

I saw you on Nightline last night. Thanks for being the mouthpiece for us!! I wanted so badly to be there with you. I really thought the female reporter was much too hard on you. I am sure she has not been down this road yet; however someday she will. If there is anything I can do to help support your cause, please let me know. I owe my life to these hormones.....
