#3 TELOGEN PHASE: Fall Out Phase lasts 5-6 weeks. Hair separates completely from follicle. Hair falls out when the new hair comes in. Normal hair loss is 50-100 strands per day.
As we age, our growth phase becomes shorter and the fall out phase is lengthened, leading to hair thinning and hair loss.
