I grew up watching Suzanne as Chrissy Snow on Three’s Company back in the 80’s, (I’m 47) later on Step by Step. Then, would later watch with my kids. She brought us so much laughter. She was the best and she was so missed when she left the show. It is still one of our favorites. As I got older, I would hear her on talk shows speaking about women’s health and then bought her books thru the years. I followed her on FB and started watching her facebook lives and loved them. There was something about Suzanne that made you feel like you were part of the family. She was so kind and humble. I loved listening to her stories she would share with all of us and would take us along in the kitchen cooking and visiting with the family. She made us feel like we were there, included, and that was nice. She always seemed to be so grateful to God for her life and that was really touching. The love she had for Alan, her son, and her whole family was so evident and was so inspiring. I was so shocked to hear the news of her passing. I have never cried for a “celebrity” before, but the last couple days I have cried when I thought of her being gone. I know your loss will be profound, but the love and legacy of love she has left your family is such a blessing. Thank you for sharing her with us. Our thoughts and prayers will be with your family at this time.
I only had the privilege of speaking to beautiful Suzanne when I called in to HSN to thank her for the blessing she was to me in encouraging us gals to seek treatment due a difficult time in that inevitable change of life that happens to us all. I. Hold hear the hostess giggling at my twang town/Music City accent but Suzanne listened patiently and kindly and encouraged me even more. It was wonderful to speak with my Hero who truly was beautiful inside & out. I have been packing to move out of a toxic mold situation (advice please, dearest
Alan, to treatment options since you went through this). I can’t find the video of that HSN conversation but will always have her with me anytime I want, just like dear Tony Dow of Leave It To Beaver through her podcasts & YouTube videos. Thank you Alan & your talented children, Bruce, sweet Caroline, Camellia, Daisy, Violet, Bunny, Maureen, and all the family for sharing Suzanne with me, with all of us. She has honored God by sharing her gifts and making our life’s happier & healthier with knowledge , with song and dance, with love and laughter. He surely welcomed her with open arms and “Well done, my good and faithful servant”. Like you all, I too will miss her more than I can say. She was my “Zannie” too. Be sad for awhile, but not too long, carry on and stay close to God and with us who love you because we still need you and don’t worry; Suzanne is going to be quite busy with God and the family, building and decorating your Heavenly home. Your future with Him and her is sealed.
May he protect and bless you all. Gratefully yours, Anita Carter, Nashville, TN.
I guess I first fell in love with Suzanne. Watching Three’s Company as a teenager. I gained a tremendous amount of love and respect for Suzanne when I read her autobiography at the age of 19. That was 30 years ago and I never forgot her story of her childhood and when she became pregnant with Bruce. I then fell in love with her Somersweet products and completely changed my way of eating in 2002. I have always been a huge fan of all of her endeavors. During Covid, I was so happy that she was taking the Facebook stage and sharing her life and products with her huge fan base. My heart is absolutely broken that she is gone. She was an incredible woman with tremendous strength, intelligence, and a love for humanity that is second to none. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. 💚
I LOVED Suzanne Somers. Her strengths gave me faith in myself. Thank you to her family for sharing a great lady with us. May peace be with you all.
