I was so heartbroken when I heard of Suzanne’s passing. I just could not believe it. I grew up watching Suzanne on tv and later reading her books and watching her lives on instagram. Even though I didn’t know her personally, I felt her love and warmth watching her videos. She was so genuine and Beautiful inside and out. She will be missed by everyone. Love you Suzanne❤️ Sending love and prayers to the family❤️🙏🏻
My deepest condolence for the loss of this beautiful angel.
(This was my journal entry the day Suzanne passed) “I jokingly call Suzanne Somers my “online BFF”. I felt like I knew her so well. I’m sure everyone that followed her closely felt the same way. She never held back about her life, her struggles, her heartaches and she definitely put herself out there to help all of us girls with our health, feeling beautiful and sexy, treating our husbands with patience and adoration, being a gracious hostess, loving our God and our country but most of all how to forgive others who have hurt you deeply and to love the ones in your life BIG! She poured her life into 25 books. I’ve read almost all of them. Her very first book of poetry has been out of print and I heard I might be getting it for Christmas. 🤗 When I read her autobiography, “Keeping Secrets”, I cried. She has endured so much in her lifetime but she teaches us that we are resilient! We can reinvent ourselves no matter the obstacle. And most of all how to forgive. Late 90’s, after the urging from a mentor of mine I picked up “Eat Great Lose Weight”. I read it cover to cover. What Suzanne was saying made perfect sense to me. I started buying all her books, watching her on HSN talk about all kinds of things; cooking, fashion, beauty, hormones, etc… I was such a huge fan and own so much SS stuff! I even go to her Energy Med Doc that she recommends, Dr. Gallitzer, here in LA. When Covid hit, Suzanne and Alan decided to do “Live” cocktail hour on her FB and Insta every Wednesday night at 5:00. Jay and I joined in with thousands of others. We all dressed up (for our spouse) fixed delicious charcuterie and a cocktail. It was so fun hearing her and Alan banter back and forth, talk about so many interesting and random subjects, also the many stories of old Hollywood back in the day. She had stories on everyone! But what was so beautiful was how she and Alan modeled a loving marriage to everyone. They truly were role models in this area. We got to watch as they built their beautiful new home in Palm Springs and hear all the details of it. We were with her in her beautiful ocean front home in Malibu and even the sell of it. She was so very transparent about everything! She had a quick wit and would make us all laugh. We knew all of her family. We were there for holidays, birthdays, got all the deets on trips, everyday life, she’d even cook for us. I seriously doubt there will ever be a celebrity that charts the territory that Suzanne did. (Letting us all in to her private life and making all of us feel like she loved and truly cared about us -the sincerity was real!) She truly was a pioneer on so many fronts.
When Alan announced that her cancer had returned after 20 years I feared in my heart that sweet Suzanne who’d we’d grown to love might not beat this one. Today is a very sad day for me. I will miss my “online BFF”so much! She was definitely a mentor to me, even though I’d never met her. Strange I know! She lived well and influenced thousands of people especially me! At the end of every LIVE show Suzanne would say, “It’s not who you are. It’s not what you have. It’s not what you do. It’s only about who you love and who loves you…and I love you.” – Suzanne Somers
Rest well my dear friend. I’ll see you in heaven! 🙏🏻❤️✝️😢
It’s hard to describe someone who is a genuinely a loving person. You could not be down looking at her smile. She was light a bright, happy light. She inspired others to be better, healthier, happier people. Not many people like that in the world. Happy Birthday Dear Suzanne. God Bless You and your family you love so much!
My husband and I watched Threes company as kids when we didn’t know each other. As adults we met in 2014. Every night we make it our routine to watch the show together. It just makes us laugh, cry, feel all the emotions that this show brought since it started. Chrissy was/is our favorite. I can just imagine how she was in real life as a wife, mom and grandma. If she’s anything like Chrissy, those who knew her would be blessed. To all of Suzanne’s immediate family, a loss is more personal than that of fans. Our family sends all the love and support to her family. I just know her infectious smile and laugh will be heard in the heavens. With sincere condolences, the Santander family from Lancaster, California.
