I have already written one tribute just after Suzanne passed, but I cannot stop thinking about her and have been quite affected by her transition. As a 5’0" chubby young girl that was super smart and a “band geek”, aka musician, in school, I never fit in. Everyone liked me, but I did not fit the mold of any clique. Along came Chrissy Snow, and she was beautiful and dorky and moralistic and soooooooo funny. I couldn’t get enough of her. I grew up during the Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss, Christie Brinkley, blah blah era. Ugh, girls were portrayed to betall and thin and sophisticated, and here I was short and buxom and a little chubby. So, Chrissy became my person to look up to, yes, I knew she was fictitious. She made it ok to be yourself. I, too, had a snorty laugh, still do. Kids picked on me, I was bullied for being chubby and the band geek. I never had a date in high school. I came into my own during college, by the way. ;) I could not wait to watch her every week with my Mom. I followed her career throughout my adult life and then became one of her “ladies” a few years ago on her website. I watched her and Alan and Caroline and the family and fell in love with you all. So, in a nutshell, thank you Suzanne (Chrissy) and everything you were to that young girl that was trying to fit into the world. I loved who you were and what you taught us all, both through your organics and knowledge of science to your laughter, generosity, the model of how a marriage should be and the epitome of an amazing matriarch. Your “work” will continue on changing the lives of a lot of people through Bruce, Caroline, Alan and all the grandkids. Oh, and Bruce, I feel for you easily turning red. I am Dutch, Irish and Scottish, blonde and blue eyed, and have always flushed easily. It’s not my favorite thing when someone asks “are you okayyyyyyy, OMG you’re so red”. I just get redder then. Much love and gratitude to Suzanne and all of your family. Shawn Schewe

In 2002, I had just undergone a radical for oophorectomy. I felt like I was dying. I was just in my 30s and I had every symptom and pain that women I knew in our 70s were having! One day I was praying and in my deep depression I got up I got on the computer and I typed something about hysterectomies and hormones and there in my search, was Suzanne Somers, and it was an article in her beautiful way, and the wonderful wisdom that God gave her about hormone replacement and Life Extension.

I am now 58, people think I am in my 40’s. I’ve been on bioidentical hormone replacement since that day. I’ve read every book of hers, I take and buy and use all her products and supplements, and food and gym, etc. I receive my “gift” from her ea month (sub box). My bathroom and vanity are filled with Suzanne Somers products! My older daughter and husband love your her products as well.

I’ve helped everybody I know by spreading what I have learned from her! Such a fabulous teacher! I’ve helped my father and his cancer by what I have learned from her! And I will continue to share with everyone I meet.

She has touched so many lives. She has loved on all of us and we do feel like family and we do weep with you and we do celebrate her!! Thank you Suzanne I know that God said to you “well done my good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:21! She loved, and we loved her!!

And the fact that on her birthday month she gave us a bracelet that says “I love you” was so beautiful I will cherish it and the timing! Just days before receiving it, I had unexpectedly lost my brother and I needed to hear “I love you” and so she brought me that as well.

She changed my life! And as this Tribute page speaks 10,000 (so many more) others lives as well!! She will be so very missed! she truly was so amazing so much wisdom and knowledge and she tried every step of the way to teach us that! So with gratitude I say Thank you Suzanne I love you too”.

If we just learn even just a fraction of what she spent her life teaching us;

Marriage: have a deep, pure, love affair with your spouse the way she and Al did!

LOVE: Love your family and friends and make them know and feel it! “It is all that matters”.

Eat and live a healthy life – balance our hormones, take supplements and fall in love with healthy, delicious, real food!

Stay busy yet enjoy the journey and have fun and laugh!

Give of your heart and time, Share!! Be honest, Be truthful! Be real and have deep deep gratitude.

Her Love, strength, honesty, compassion, generosity, humor, wisdom, knowledge, stories, and her laugh, her smile will all be missed! We are so thankful she allowed us to share her life with us, and learn from it, all these years!!

That was her life lessons for us!
A one of kind!! That was Suzanne.
We will all miss you very much!
