I’m one of Suzanne’s ladies. I’ve been packing my house and heading to a 55+ home. Going through my clutter I was attempting to downsize and Marie Kondo myself blind. I have boxes and shelves marked “Suzanne”. I couldn’t toss any of it. Suzanne sparked joy. I loved watching her and Colleen Lopez pj parties. At the time, I was living in very rural Colorado, driving miles of dirt roads just for groceries. She made us feel less isolated. She taught me how to find my way around a kitchen, Somersizing, and the importance of buying organic and toxic free products.Suzanne helped guide me so much when I was going through my hysterectomy and how to pursue doctors that prescribed bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. When I moved back to Denver I attended one of her menopause lectures wearing a Suzanne pinstriped suit. I met women from Suzanne’s “Keeping Secrets” faction, lots of lovely menopausal sisters and the hip, chic and definitely not desperate fashionistas. The lecture hall looked like a Suzanne Somers HSN warehouse explosion. As I mingled I kept thinking, “I have that watch! Oh my ring! and Those are my boots!”
As for my downsizing, I was right to keep all my Suzanne books, adorable kitchen appliance, pajamas galore, the clothes, oh just everything I bought I bought because Suzanne sparked joy in me.
I am very sorry for your loss.
God bless you.
You left too soon but you made a big impact on all of us. May you rest in Peace, now you can see all your buddies that past on from Three’s Company, I grew up watching that show, it was my favorite. ❤️🌹
Such a heavy heart as I send this message. My friend notified me of her passing and my first thought was she died knowing she was loved by so many, particularly Alan, Bruce and family. How very fortunate the rest of us were as she opened her heart and home to so many. She will be missed. RIP beautiful lady.
Rest in Peace Suzanne. You have a beautiful soul who I know you will rest in the perpetual light of our God and Savior. You gave so much, you made us laugh and smile. You will be forever remembered for your kindness, intellect, integrity and beauty.
