I had the pleasure of meeting Suzanne and Alan when Ms. Somers had a speaking engagement at the Town and Country hotel, San Diego. I was an employee there and had the honor of meeting them at their hotel room and taking them to the speaking engagement at the hotel (twice, a few years apart).
Such a privilege and genuine couple that engaged with me.
The last time, Hello Dolly was on tour and I said to Ms. Somers, “ I have four words for you.” And she said “what”. I said “Suzanne Somers, Hello, Dolly!.”
She quickly replied with a “thank you”. “And then said, what would I do with Alan?”
I quickly said I’ll come with you and while you perform, I’ll take Alan out of town every night. She laughed and then she said you know my true role that I would do would be, Adelaide, in Guys and Dolls.
Xoxo 😘
I could not stop watching every time the show went live. I loved all the humorous stories and the love between AL and Suzanne. I never in my life have seen such an adoring couple.
Many moons ago when i moved back home to take care of my mother as she was going through lung cancer, my husband decided to get us cable (which she didn’t have) which meant we now had access to HSN. Many sweet memories of my mother and I watching Suzanne and loving her style, her grace, and the retail therapy that we so desperately needed during a very difficult time in our lives. She always brought us joy and laughter during the darkest of times. Thank you dear Suzanne for the memories and the joy.
She was such a down to earth and loving person. She will be greatly missed.
You meant so much to so many. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Godspeed.
