Big Al, Bruce and family,
I am one of so many “regular folks” that got to know Suzanne and Al via your Facebook Lives these last few years. I count myself very lucky to have tuned in. You all are such down to earth humans. When you both shared some life stories or talked about being at parties with other Hollywood celebs, it wasn’t like you were name dropping, you were just sharing your world. We could envision your evenings. It was just fun!
Then….the KNOWLEDGE Suzanne had‼️. I mean…I LOVE holistic, organic products, health and cooking tips.. her 27 self help health books-phenominal! I have purchased several. I am so very thankful she wasn’t afraid to blaze her own trail. Suzanne could have easily fallen into the Hollywood elites life of plastic surgeries, Hollywood parties, etc..but she chose her own destiny, helping so many women along the way, with her organic products and healthy living knowledge she shared to all willing to listen .
My biggest takeaway and memories will always be Suzanne and Big Al together. Your love and compassion for life and each other was breathtaking to watch.💞. Al, I pray you find peace. So much peace to Bruce and all your family. Suzanne was so very special and this coming from those of us that only got a few glimpses of her for a few years on fb. I can’t imagine the vastness void she has left in your lives. 💔
Suzanne, thank you and praise God that you are now pain free. Al said he needs signs that you are still with him. I hope he receives them.
Peace and God’s grace to you all.
What I loved most about Suzanne, is how she shared her family with us. I would of never got to know Caroline, Bruce, Leslie and all the grandchildren. I loved her and Al’s stories and just how normal they were. Honesty it was great entertainment watching Al get silly and Caroline always trying to wheel him in,lol. Suzanne had a heart of gold and loved her family so much! It was very exciting for us viewer to have a peek into her special occasion when you all got together, not many celebrities would of done that.I cried like a baby when I heard the News, and I felt so bad for the big hole it will leave in her family.Even though I’ve never met any of you, I feel like we are all family because that’s how Suzanne made us all feel. Of course I always felt a little connection to Al because I’m proud Canadian myself! My grandson always ask for Big Al’s hotdog for his birthday every year, which is on Canada day. I will keep all of you in my prayers, I send much love to you all❤️ Lynn
Watching her live stream for years I feel I knew Suzanne and lost a friend. I loved her story telling, whether it was what she did that day or reminiscing with Al. Whenever she mentioned a celebrity friend it was always with kindness. She exuded wisdom & joy and her passion for healthy living was contagious. I’ll miss her cooking with Caroline, spontaneous singing, and 1000 watt smile. Heaven gained the brightest angel. Deepest condolences to Al, Bruce, Caroline, and all her family.
It is very hard to think Suzanne has passed. She and the Facebook live shows were the highlight for me during Covid listening to her stories, learning about her products and most importantly learning about health.
Because of her, I dove into my health screening leveraging her experience with bio identical hormones and finding a doctor to help me and my husband. This stufff is just not something the 9 minute meeting with a doctor is discussed. I know we are better for her research and has helped me live. Longer life.
She broke barriers, and proved beauty and brains can exist in one person. With respect. She taught love and cared. What a blessing. An Irish blessing. What will we do without her. And as grace would have it, she left us peacefully in her sleep when her family was gathered around her. There is a hole in my heart and that of so many. Can I say thank you so much for everything Suzanne. May angels wings carry you to eternity.
She was amazing in every sense of the word. Her bright and wide smile made her a sensation instantly. From the time we were introduced to her in the car scene of American Graffiti to the time she valiantly showed us that blondes are great for more than just bakini car washes by portraying the role of a Chisty Snow who was full of more questions than answers on Threes Company to becoming a champion for women and showing that women deserve equality in show business sitcoms. Then she revamps herself and becomes the best mom on television in Step By Step while hosting HSN sometimes in the wee hours of the morning. She was a tireless women who provided all of us with something that we cherish to this day. Then when she had one most of sitcom runs and got the Nation squeezing to the Thigh Master craze, we see she loves animals and takes us on the ride of canines in Americas Funniest Home Videos. When we wanted to spin to the beat of Dancing with the Stars she met us right on the dance floor. And if we werent paying attention to her enough then during the pandemic of 2020 she allows us into her personal space with Alan by showing us the inside of her expansive homes while selling her products. No one would have ever known that while doing this she battled a host of health issues. She didnt wear her health issues on a her sleeve. To say she was strong was an understatement. Heroic Champion of the Cause. That’s more of what is suitable when describing this monumental woman and i loved watching every minute that she was on television. In fact in honor of her I am trying to find every interview and every tv movie or special she did and just have a Suzanne Mahoney Somers Marathon. May you all find your area of peace as you celebrate this captivating woman and her impact.
