Dear Al, Bruce, Caroline and family,
I was so saddened when I opened my tablet on the morning of the 15th and saw your announcement that Suzanne had passed away. It felt like all the air was removed from the room.
I have followed Suzanne from the first time I saw her on the Tonight show. Suzanne was eloquent, calm and more than held her own in a couch full of men. I loved it, and loved her!
I bought her book of poems, and it was only the first.
I have all of her books, and I feel so lucky to have benefitted from her experiences and wisdom.
Because of Suzanne, I have taken better care of myself all these years (74 in December)than I probably would have, and I am grateful.
I had started researching supplements, and her books gave me such great information. I loved her SuzanneSpeak, she clarified what were sometimes confusing explanations
in medical descriptions. I’m so thankful that so many doctors and researchers shared information with Suzanne in her books. What a wonderful gift that was.
I love Suzanne’s recipe collections, and one recipe in particular that I shared with my daughter one Thanksgiving has become both our favorite, the Mushroom Sausage Stuffing recipe. Since that first time, it is now our families’ turkey day go-to. We both make it every year.
I always tried to watch Suzanne on fb live when she started that. It was so needed, a positive hour after all the bad news and negativity on the air at the time. She and Al were always so sweet to each other, so much fun. When she would talk about health issues, I loved learning from her. She was always learning about new procedures or alternative meds on the horizon, so important to hear.
I have saved all I could of those videos. I didn’t always make it home in time to watch the whole hour, and I’m so glad I could go to fb and save them to watch from the beginning.I watched a few last night, it helped my sadness, seeing Suzanne and Al joking and laughing together. Especially when Al would model her nail polish. So sweet.
I’m sorry this is such a jumbled message, so much keeps coming to mind, that it is a little mixed up. I wanted to tell how much I admired and loved this woman. Words tend to fail me.
Suzanne had that gift, you wanted to know her, she was such an extraordinary person. I’m only one of her many ladies that felt that way, and feel so lucky I was.
Thank you all for sharing her with us, for letting us join her family for those wonderful dinners, cooking shows, conversations ,and great stories and drinks at Big Al’s bar.
God bless you all, xxx
I am not a person who follows celebrities but Suzanne was different, she was real and when she said she wished she could invite everyone into her home for the meal she was preparing, I felt she honestly meant it —-and that is just amazing. I was very saddened to hear that she had left us and I felt that I knew her. Will miss her smile and watching her on facebook live.. I love her products and use as many as I can afford. I have a lot of her books. You will see her again. She is only sleeping now, the Bible tells us.

I’m so sorry to hear about Suzanne’s passing. My prayers to Al, Bruce and family during this difficult time. Every time I would watch her on instagram, it was like listening to a sister telling me what’s best and why. One could feel her sincerity and how she truly cared. Al, thank you for sharing your stories with us last week, we all love you.
Rest in Peace Suzanne, you’re among the angels now.
Thank you Suzanne for sharing your life and teaching us so much information to help keep us healthy. I have bought Gut Renew and some other products and appreciate the research to provide quality products.
I am sad to lose you. I am sad for your husband Al Hamel. I hope we get to see Alan on Instagram. I am sad for your family and friends, Bruce, Caroline, Violet, Camelia, Daisy, and other family close to Suzanne. Thank you from my heart
